Deleting your data

How to remove the data Digital Jeeves holds about you — in a couple of clicks, or with a single email.

This page explains how to have your personal data deleted from Digital Jeeves. For the full detail of what we hold and why, see our Privacy Policy.

If you have a Digital Jeeves account

You can delete your data yourself, at any time:

  • Download a copy first (optional) — sign in and use Download my data on your account page to export everything we hold as a JSON file.
  • Delete your account — go to /account/delete. This removes or anonymises your website and cloud data, deletes your synced memory facts, and cancels any Stripe subscription. It then hands off to our identity server so you can remove your login. Forum posts are kept for the discussion but anonymised, so they're no longer linked to you.

If you commented on our Facebook Page

We run an optional integration that mirrors public posts and comments from our Facebook Page into a "From our Facebook" area of our community forum, so both places show the same conversation. If you left a comment there and would like your Facebook name and comment removed from our forum, just email us — you don't need a Digital Jeeves account. (Editing or deleting the comment on Facebook itself is done on Facebook.)

Anyone else

If you're not sure which applies, or you'd simply prefer we handle it, email [email protected] with what you'd like removed, and we'll take care of it.

How quickly, and what happens

  • Self-service deletion (above) takes effect immediately.
  • Email requests are actioned promptly — normally within a few days, and always within 30 days.
  • A few records we're legally required to keep — for example billing and tax records — are retained for the period the law requires, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Questions about any of this? Email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
